Case Study 2

Primary Plus Ltd

The world in your hand

In 2006 Constratega was commissioned by Primary Plus Ltd to develop a branded and visible CSR strategy that reflected the organisation's core purpose and mission of neighbourhood regeneration but could be 'owned' and implemented at regional operating company level.

helpURself is the Corporate Responsibility programme of Primary Plus and its six LIFT companies in the UK.

The programme was developed to ensure that Primary Plus and the LIFTCOs fully engage with the communities within which they are working. In addition Primary Plus wants to use the social infrastructure that they are developing to act as a catalyst for community based activities which will complement their business objectives and at the same time leave a legacy of knowledge and skills transfer to enable these communities to help themselves.

In this regard, they see ourselves as enablers not simply as providers and by integrating their community programme with their business objectives they will deliver benefits to all of their stakeholders.

Primary Plus Ltd is a joint venture company established by Bank of Scotland Corporate and John Laing Social Infrastructure Ltd, part of John Laing Plc, to participate in the Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) scheme, a major initiative designed to stimulate investment in local primary and social care facilities.
